NE Graduate Minor
A minor in Radiation Safety is available to graduate students in other programs. This program
provides an opportunity for students who work with radiation or radioactive materials to learn about
radiation safety, the measurement of radiation, shielding of radiation, and radioactive waste
disposal. The minor requires fifteen hours of course work; NE 505, NE 606 and three of the
following four courses: NE 742, NE 743, NE 771 and NE 880.05. Approval for acceptance in the
program is required from both graduate studies committees.
